PCC for SharePoint v7.2 includes the following new or enhanced functionality:
Viewing Document Versions
- Viewing of the previous document versions is supported when versioning is enabled for a Document Library. Viewing of document versions is supported for DRM, the Previewer, and when calling the API directly.
Annotating Document Versions
- Prizm annotations are created and saved per version of a document, when versioning is enabled for a Document Library.
Multiple Named Annotations per Document
- The ability to load and save annotations by name is supported as an optional permission for groups. This permits multiple annotations per document version.
Annotation Tooltips
- Mouse over individual annotations loaded on a document to see information on the time of creation and user that created the annotation.
Annotations for Previewer
- Annotate documents even if only using the Previewer to view documents (i.e. if the DRM feature is disabled).
DRM Enforcement
- The ability to download or send a document using Ribbon and ECB actions is blocked when DRM permissions for the user do not permit the user to save or send the document.
Using SharePoint Designer with DRM
- SharePoint Designer can be used by privileged users when DRM is enabled for a web application.
Using Windows Explorer View with DRM
- Access to a Document Library by privileged users is uninhibited when DRM is enabled for a web application.
Managing DRM and SharePoint Permissions
- A recommended strategy for managing DRM and SharePoint permissions is presented in the Administration Guide of the help file.
